I wanted to reach out to inform you of the hotel selection for the 2026 reunion in San Diego in case you were not on Facebook. The following was posted this morning on all Facebook pages.

Good morning CAC/CAP Members and families,

We’re excited to announce the host hotel for our 2026 CAC/CAP Reunion in San Diego, California!

The DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego – Bayside will be our reunion location. Situated directly across from the bay, the hotel offers beautiful waterfront views, daily sunshine, and a refreshing bay breeze.

Several restaurants are within walking distance, with many additional dining options just a short Uber ride away.

Please review the attached information for property details and photos. More details will follow once the registration form is finalized, including tour options and pricing. Hotel reservations can be made only after the CAP group rate code has been issued by the hotel. We will keep everyone informed as soon as it becomes available.

To All CAP Unit Veterans Association Members,

I know many have been asking when information will be posted for the 2025 CAP Unit Veterans Association Reunion, I am happy to say the time is now. Our Hotel, the Holiday Inn Riverwalk which sits on the Riverwalk will have easy access to restaurants, bars, pubs, entertainment and more.

Our Tours have been arranged by Rich Stoehrmann again this year and he has done an outstanding job. One Tour is to the Town of Fredericksburg, Texas home of the National Museum of the Pacific Nimitz Museum and of the course the quaint town itself which prides itself on their German Heritage where you can visit eating establishments, shopping, wineries, and more history of the area. Our next Tour will be a relaxing afternoon on a River Barge Tour seeing the colorful sights of the Downtown area of the Riverwalk.

Our plans are to have a live band 50’s. 60’s, 70’s music with dance floor at the Reunion Banquet. We will celebrate CAP Marines and Corpsmen along with the United States Marine Corps 250th Birthday on November 10th, 2025. Please plan on joining us for a once in a lifetime celebration.

There are many others things to do in San Antonino such as Visiting the Alamo, the other Missions in the San Antonio area as well by Trolley or strolling the Riverwalk. There is a mall called the Shops at Rivercenter for shopping and an Historic Hotel sits next to the Alamo named The Menger where Theodore Roosevelt met with his Rough Riders in the loft of the bar, see the historic pictures as you visit the bar.

Please see the information for our 2025 CAP Unit Veterans Association Reunion. This will be the 250th Birthday of the U.S.M.C. as well this year. The Holiday Inn Riverwalk, San Antonio Texas will be our Hotel – Dates Check in Nov. 6 and check out Nov. 11th.
